MBK Tape Solutions Present at MedTech Conference
Bringing Stick-to-Skin Wearables to Market
On July 29, 2019, MBK Tape Solutions with partner, Vancive Medical Technologies (a division of Avery Dennison) presented “Bringing Stick to Skin Wearables to Market” at The MedTech Conference in Irvine, Orange County, CA. The panel discussion consisted of Jeff Kaminski, CEO of MBK, and Deepak Prakash, Sr. Director of Global Marketing at Vancive Technologies. Brandon Stevens and Brad Wroblewski managed the booth and shared their expertise.
The panel discussion included questions such as, how to determine the best adhesive tape for an application and how do we help our customers design their product for manufacturing. Then we shared our outlook for the wearable market and how we are positioning for the future.
With that being said, MBK is installing a new state-of-the-art rotary press that will be installed in our ISO 8 cleanroom within the next month. The new press will allow us to run more complex die-cuts in-line with greater speed and quality. The new press allows us to hold tighter tolerance on intricate die-cut parts so we can better serve our current customers as well as future customers.
We are also continuing our quest to further educate our staff on the latest technologies being introduced. We regularly attend industry conferences and events like Medtech Mondays as well as other conferences throughout the US. MBK has established itself as the go-to converter for stick-to-skin applications and we are very blessed to get the calls from OEM’s when they are introducing new tape products to market.
